When reading a contractor’s specifications about how they build, one must be careful. Most of the things they highlight are simply standard building code procedures.  If you want to have the greatest peace of mind about a builder’s reputation, just call the Alachua County Building Department (352-374-5243) and ask anyone in that office.  They will tell you that the Pridgens always go over and above when it comes to making sure their homes are built solid, stronger than code, and quality is the norm.

MAINTENANCE FREE

Maintenance free exteriors are always desirable.  The Pridgens avoid using wood on the exterior as much as possible.  If lap siding is selected, both the siding and the trim is a concrete composite that has a 50 year warranty!

Energy efficiency should be a priority to all builders.  Using less electricity not only puts more money in the owner’s pocket, but also helps our environment.

GREEN BUILDING

Green building is about being mindful of our environment.  Protecting the Planet and protecting our children.  The Pridgens use products that were recycled and are recyclable. Using Low VOC glues and paints help keep our babies (and pets) safe.  Using energy efficient equipment like Instant Hot Water Heaters, Air Handler Units, Appliances, etc. requires less energy overall and helps keep our planet GREEN!
